Applications for fall 2017 are due January 31, 2017. Late applications will be accepted but are subject to a waiting list. 60 seats are available for 6th grade. If the number of applicants exceeds the number of seats available, students will be selected by a random lottery among applicants residing within GRPS boundaries. Second-round lottery picks and/or waitlist positions will be open to GRPS and non-GRPS residents.
Families of students who are selected to attend the Public Museum School will be required to participate in an interview and sign a School-Parent-Student Compact, which outlines expectations for each of those partners in the learning process. This ensures that students and parents are aware of the school’s expectations and understand what it takes to be successful in the school’s learning environment.
Once a student is accepted to the Public Museum School, they do not need to reapply each year.
